A team of more than a dozen community partners are excited to kick off Michigan's third Maker Week. Held October 1-9, the week is stacked with a lineup of tours, hands-on projects and guest speakers in areas that include food and drink, textiles and apparel, 3D printing, electronics and programming, and the intersection of 21st century jobs and maker skills.

The movement is both pro-technology and pro-DIY, and fits well in Lansing’s unique culture at the intersection of higher education and manufacturing.

A maker is anyone who creates, builds, tinkers, or imagines.

No way, the event was creating to be a “drop-in” week-long experience for participants to attend whatever pieces fit into your schedule.

Think of this as a choose your own adventure. Go to whichever tours or keynotes you would like.

Yes. There is no charge to attend. Startup Weekend, which begins on Friday and lasts through the weekend has a registration fee.
